Subsequent to a succeeding three BLACK events held in NYC, Matte — a creative agency and production company focused on culture and content — are elated to announce they are taking this noteworthy event to Mexico City.
Founded in 2013, BLACK — a collaboration that combines music, design and contemporary art to transform different spaces — will feature a one-night takeover of the abandoned Hotel Reforma, transpiring on Saturday, March 4th, 2017, from 10pm-4am. A synergistic effort coordinated alongside Mexican label Sicario Music, BLACK Mexico City is transforming a 15,000 thousand square foot space within the hotel, utilizing multiple floors and outdoor spaces.
BLACK simultaneously combines music and art. The art will be curated by Peana’s Ana Perez — offering a huge selection of local, homegrown Mexican art. The music will be curated by internationally renowned house music legend, Seth Troxler, who will be headlining. Other featured artists include: Brooklyn-based DJ, Thugfucker, live music from Moon Runner and Superstudio, and support from Nino Arbol and BBY JSS. With a stacked mix of creative minds, this event will be one for the books! Be sure to grab your ticket HERE.
