For the first time since 2014, we are happy to announce that Daft Punk will be coming to a TV near you. The electronic music duo will be performing alongside The Weeknd at this years Grammy Awards, happening February 12 — as announced by the Recording Academy.
Since their last live performance at the 2014 Grammy Awards, where they appeared with Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, and Nile Rodgers to play their hit “Get Lucky” off their 2013’s Grammy-winning Random Access Memories album, the duo has yet to release any of their own new tracks. The Weeknd collaborated with Daft Punk on two tracks of his Grammy nominated album Starboy, to be performed at the awards.
In the wake of their newly announced performance, the French duo has also announced a pop-up shop unlike any other. The shop is set to display props, wardrobes, photography and art from throughout their career; yes, that includes their iconic helmets! The shop will take place February 11 through 19 at 8818 Melrose Avenue, in West Hollywood, LA — from 11am-7pm. The pop up shop will coincide with Daft Punk’s performance, so don’t forget to tune in to witness one of the most sought out performances of the year, to be aired via CB. Don’t forget to tweet us while you watch!
