French superstar secures record-tying fifth victory as ceremony makes Ibiza debut at UNVRS superclub

David Guetta tops the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll again. David Guetta is the World’s No.1 DJ for 2025, his fifth win in DJ Mag’s prestigious poll. The result was announced on September 30 at the first-ever Ibiza ceremony, held at the UNVRS superclub. With five wins, he ties Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren for the record in the poll’s 32-year history.

The ceremony also broke new ground. For the first time, the results were announced live in Ibiza instead of Amsterdam. Fittingly, Guetta then played a two-hour headline set to a packed crowd at the island’s newest venue.

“To win Top 100 DJs again, for a joint-record fifth time, is an honor,” Guetta told the crowd. “It means a lot to me because the greatest feeling in my life, truly, is playing new music for people and seeing their reactions.”

The win comes fourteen years after his first title in 2011. That is remarkable longevity in a fast-moving industry. At 57, Guetta still works at full speed. In 2025, he released more than one track a month. His output ranges from trap-influenced tracks with MORTEN to festival anthems with Martin Garrix and Afrojack. He also released a new single with longtime partner Sia.

The other big winners

This year’s results show both continuity and change. Established names lead, yet newcomers made an impact too. Michael Bibi won “Highest New Entry” at No. 48. It is an inspiring comeback after a rare cancer forced him to pause his career in 2023.

Belgian techno star Charlotte de Witte climbed to No. 9, her best result ever. She also kept her title as the World’s No.1 Techno DJ.

Meanwhile, Anyma (Matteo Milleri) reached No. 10. He is the first Italian artist in the top ten. Moreover, he is preparing to headline Coachella’s main stage in 2026, another first for an Italian.

Genre awards went to FISHER as the World’s No.1 House DJ at No. 7. Armin van Buuren won the World’s No.1 Trance DJ title and the Outstanding Contribution Award. Finally, Sara Landry became the World’s No.1 Hard DJ, reflecting the global appetite for harder sounds.

Beyond the rankings

The 2025 poll also showed electronic music’s global growth. The mix of artists and genres points to a healthy scene that values both underground innovation and mainstream appeal.

In addition, the partnership with Bridges for Music raised nearly £150,000. This South African charity supports young creatives in underserved communities.
